Sherman Oaks, CA – A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Interstate 405 in the Sherman Oaks area Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on the northbound Interstate 405 near the Burbank Boulevard off-ramp at approximately 7:29 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.

Preliminary reports indicate that a motorcycle and a vehicle collided along the northbound lanes of the freeway.

Dispatch information indicated the crash involved at least one motorcycle and a vehicle, with the damaged vehicles coming to rest on the right shoulder just north of the Burbank Boulevard off-ramp.

Authorities reported that one rider sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
